With three new filters – Checked Baggage Included, Direct Flight and 26 or older – we aim to streamline the flight selection process and empower students with more control over their flight plans.
Checked Baggage Included
We have included the Checked Baggage filter right beneath our search bar for students who prefer the convenience of travelling with checked baggage. This filter allows students to specifically search for flights that include the option of checked baggage. By selecting this filter, you can easily find airlines that make checked baggage part of their student benefits.
Airlines where – generally speaking – you will only get student fares associated with checked baggage are KLM, Air France, Turkish Airlines, Air Malta, China Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Icelandair. Check the conditions on the flight itself before booking.
This small but complex change to our site allows you to uncover many more deals from the KLM flight via Amsterdam to South America where you save €20 - €50 to the Air Malta flight to ... you guessed it ... Malta.
It's worth playing around with this filter as in some cases you may even save money when you book luggage.
Direct flight
We understand that convenience and efficiency are paramount when it comes to student travel. That's why we have introduced the Direct filter to our advanced search options. By selecting this filter, students can easily find flights that eliminate layovers and connect them directly to their destination.
Our customers love our new partners and the expanded offer portfolio. A lot of them would however happily pay €10 - €30 extra to not have to take a stopover flight. And because many of our new partnerships allow very cheap stopover flights this additional option was a relevant one.
26 or older
Many student fares come with age restrictions. In some cases that restriction is 35 in Luxair's case it's 24 years. As several of our partners have chosen 25 years as the cutoff we've made it easier for you to search for flights if you're above that certain age. For anyone below that age, just leave it unchecked and you'll get visibility of the full inventory offered exclusively on Flyla.com
